The Workout Uniform
The inventory of movement. I am referencing the 1990s. High saturation. The tension between the oversized and the fitted. A uniform designed to remove the mental labor.

The current rotation is stale. I need a reset. I am referencing the 1990s to solve the boredom. The intention is a specific clash of proportions. I want voluminous layers against a second-skin base. I need the introduction of color to correct the fatigue. The objective is ease.

The Base Layer
The system begins at the base. A matching set is a completed thought. It removes the decision. The Chocolate Brown Set (here in yellow too) and Biker Shorts function as the neutral anchor. For a streamlined silhouette, I rely on a Leotard or a Tennis Dress. When I need color, I switch to something like this Green Set. When utility is the priority, I choose a very soft pair of high waisted Shorts with pockets. These are so flattering.

The Outer Layer
This is where the 90s reference is visible. I balance the fitted base with significant volume. I inject color with a Red Sweatshirt or Red Fleece with some color blocking. I add texture with a Striped Fleece or a structured Quarter Zip Jacket. This Nylon Jacket is a tool for proportion. I tie it at the waist to break the line.

The Supporting Cast
The inventory of the bag. This Puffer Tote holds the edit. I manage the details with a Japanese Headband, my favorite Hair Claw, or this meshed Cotton Bandana. A pair of Terry Wristbands handles the sweat. This insulated Owala Bottle and Saltair Deodorant are the maintenance essentials.

Foot Notes
In the studio, the shoe does not matter. The sock is the priority. I rotate between these Vintage Socks, these Striped Crew Socks, and these specific Pilates Sock. The commute to and from home requires a specific weight. I ground the look with a heavy pair New Balance or these Reebok. This Yoga Mat Scrunchie maintains the aesthetic.

The Weights
Functional accessories that double as design objects. I am delighted by the Bala Bangles and Bala Kettlebell. They add a hit of nostalgia to the movement. For serious loading, I use this Dumbbell Set or a Weighted Vest.
